Despite an aggressive ad campaign, ABC viewers let the name fool them.
After this week, ABC is pulling “Happy Town” from its schedule for the rest of the month/season.
The decision comes after two episodes have aired of the Wednesday night show, which dropped 29% for its second week to a decidedly unhappy 1.2 adult demo rating. ABC will air another episode Wednesday night, then burn off the remaining five episodes starting June 2.

So, to recap: episode 3 shall be airing tonight, but we have to wait until June 2 for [Amy’s centric] episode 4 and the remaining 4 episodes to make up the full 8 episode order. This is confirmed by the show’s official Twitter although they also say that the show hasn’t been axed; they’re optimistic to see what happens in June.
Ep. 3 is tomorrow, Eps. 4-8 are June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30th. Two weeks break in between. After that, who knows.
EDIT: Further clarification regarding the status of Happy Town has been posted by Amy’s co-star, Geoff Stults, on his official Twitter.
So just for some clarification folks…….Happy Town has NOT been cancelled. It is going off the air for 3 weeks and then will finish.
