The cast of Human Target was at this year’s Comic Con and Mark Valley suggested that Amy may be returning to the second season — how exciting! — as you may know, Amy guest starred in the season 1 finale; quote is posted below. I’ll be sure to keep you guys up-to-date!
‘Human Target’ is back for a second season. It has a new executive producer Matthew Miller (‘Chuck’), who told thousands of fans at Comic Con on Saturday that he’s bringing some ladies into Christopher Chance’s life.
… Valley fueled the rumors that Amy Acker indeed would be back as Katherine. “If you look closely when that boat explodes [in season one] you just see a boat explode. That’s all I’m going to say about that. Keep your hopes up.”
Another heads up! Again, there are no specifications listed just yet, but Human Target is also available to pre-order on Region 1 DVD at Amazon.com — if you’d like to buy a copy for Amy’s guest spot on the season finale. The DVD will be released on September 21, 2010.
I shall keep you guys updated on the Region 2 release when it becomes available.
EDIT: DVD extras & specifications have now been made available on TVShowsOnDVD.com for the Region 1 release.

It looks like we have a confirmed airdate for Amy’s upcoming guest spot on Human Target — April 14! Additional confirmation shall be added as soon as FOX releases the official press release.
In the final episode [“Christopher Chance,” April 14], things get a little dark again. You get to see how Chance has been trying to get away from his past and not look at it, but he’s forced to face it in the finale. When we were shooting it, I began to understand a little more of what he had gone through when he changed professions from being an assassin to being a bodyguard and protecting people.
Amy will be appearing on the season finale of FOX’s Human Target — nice to see Amy in other roles while we wait for Happy Town to start! The airdate shall be posted when it becomes available. Confirmation of Amy’s role is posted below; read the full interview at MovieWeb.
So what’s in store for the season finale?
Mark Valley: Well, in the season finale, Baptiste comes back. Amy Acker shows up and plays this one character who is very pivotal in Chance’s past in that she was sort of the catalyst for his ultimate change into becoming Christopher Chance. Lee Majors is in that episode. Armand Assante plays Chance’s old boss. There’s a couple of major confrontations there. I think, what’s fun, is Jackie Earle Haley and I have our first fight, even though it takes place in the past, but you can see the roots of their relationship and why they have such a trusting bond as well.
