‘Amanda & Jack Go Glamping’ Trailer

A brand new trailer for Amanda & Jack Go Glamping has been released, courtesy of ET Online — which is viewable in all countries! View the trailer under the cut, enjoy!

There’s not much in the way of glamour in Amanda & Jack Go Glamping, an upcoming rom-com in which David Arquette and The Gifted’s Amy Acker star as an unhappily married couple taking a much-needed vacation at a “camping” resort. As you can see in the movie’s trailer, exclusively debuting on ET, there are plenty of hipsters, llamas and one shirtless Adonis of a landowner (Adan Canto), though.

“We are supposed to be saving our marriage,” Acker’s Amanda laments to her downer husband at one point in the preview, while Arquette’s Jack taunts back, “You are not staying here for us. You’re staying for Magic Mike.”

The romantic comedy marks a reunion for Acker and writer-director Brandon Dickerson, as she previously starred in his 2011 drama, Sironia. Amanda & Jack Go Glamping was loosely inspired by Dickerson’s own experiences at the very same glamping retreat, Green Acres, and the movie will premiere at the Austin Film Festival later this month.

Amanda & Jack Go Glamping arrives in theaters and on VOD on Nov. 10.

David Arquette, Amy Acker Comedy ‘Amanda & Jack Go Glamping’ Lands At Gravitas

Gravitas Ventures has secured the North American distribution rights to Amanda & Jack Go Glamping, a quirky, romantic comedy starring David Arquette and Amy Acker, who currently stars on Fox’s new Marvel series, The Gifted. From writer-director Brandon Dickerson, the film will premiere at the Austin Film Festival at the end of the month followed by a theatrical run and on demand release November 10.

Inspired by Dickerson ‘s own journey, the pic follows dejected one-hit-author Jack Spencer (Arquette) who, with his marriage on rocky ground, goes “glamping” with his wife, Amanda (Acker), in search of a spark. When the isolated retreat suddenly becomes anything but private with the arrival of double booking honeymoon hipsters and a super-hunk landowner, Jack must learn to get over himself as he dives deep off the grid into a comedic exploration of love, failure, relevance, and miniature donkeys.

Adan Canton (Designated Survivor) and June Squibb (Nebraska) also stars.

Premiere Entertainment launches David Arquette rom-com ‘Couples Vacation’

Looks like Amanda & Jack Go Glamping apparently has an international title of Couples Vacation.

Los Angeles-based Premiere Entertainment Group is Toronto-bound with international rights to rom-com Couples Vacation starring David Arquette and Amy Acker.

Brandon Dickerson wrote and directed the film about two people who plan a glamping retreat to rekindle their marriage, only for things to take a comedic turn for the worse once they get there.

Dickerson also produced Couples Vacation with Boyhood producer Cathleen Sutherland and Susan Kirr. Erik Lokkesmoe serves as executive producer.

Gravitas Ventures will release the film in North America on November 10 under the title Amanda & Jack Go Glamping.

Arquette is currently filming family drama Saving Flora, while Acker will next be seen in the Marvel TV series The Gifted.

“We are so pleased to see this film get out there in the world, using humour to speak to a universal quest to find the balance and harmony in relationships, and ultimately happiness,” Sutherland said. “The grass is not always greener on the other side of the donkey fence.”

“It’s the perfect date night movie,” Premiere’s vice-president of development and acquisitions said. “The audience will find themselves immersed in the story and cheering for Arquette’s character to save his marriage.

Premiere Entertainment president and CEO Elias Axume and Carlos Rincon negotiated the deal with producers Sutherland and Kirr.
