‘Superman: Red Son’ Voice Cast Revealed

Amy is voicing Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman: Red Son adaptation!

Warner Bros. Animation has released the above first look image from the DC Universe Animated Original Movies adaptation of Mark Millar’s acclaimed Superman: Red Son comic book – an ‘Elseworlds’ tale which explores what might have been had the Last Son of Krypton landed in the former Soviet Union, rather than a farm in Smallville, Kansas.

As revealed by TV Insider, the voice cast for Superman: Red Son will include Jason Isaacs (Star Trek: Discovery) as Superman, Amy Acker (The Gifted) as Lois Lane, Diedrich Bader (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) as Lex Luthor, Vanessa Marshall (Star Wars Rebels) as Wonder Woman, Phil Morris (Doom Patrol) as James Olsen, Paul Williams (Goliath) as Brainiac, Sasha Roiz (Grimm) as Hal Jordan, Phil LaMarr (Supergirl) as John Stewart, Roger Craig Smith (Batman Ninja) as Batman, Jim Meskimen (Constantine: City of Demons) as John F. Kennedy and Travis Willingham (Batman: Bad Blood) as Superior Man.

Published in 2003, Superman: Red Son reimagines the Man of Steel with the infant Kal-El crash landing in the Soviet Union as opposed to Smallville, where he is raised to be “the Champion of the common worker who fights a never-ending battle for Stalin, socialism, and the international expansion of the Warsaw Pact.”

The animated movie is slated for release in early 2020.

‘Angel’ Cast 20th Anniversary Panel at NYCC 2019

The cast of Angel is reuniting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the WB drama’s premiere at New York Comic-Con — well, minus one.

Stars Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Amy Acker (Fred/Illyria), Alexis Denisof (Wesley), J. August Richards (Gunn) and James Marsters (Spike) will be in attendance at the con, running Oct. 3-6 at the Javits Center, NYCC announced on Tuesday. Notably absent from the lineup, though: David Boreanaz, who played the title character. But one can hope that the current SEAL Team star will eventually be added to the roster, right?

During a March appearance on The Talk, Boreanaz hinted at the possibility of a reunion. “We’re coming up on our 20 years,” he noted. “That’s amazing to have been blessed with a show like that. That’s really where I started my gig in this acting world. I love that character. So I will say there may be something coming up. I don’t want to give away a lot. It’s 20 years coming up this fall, and we may have something in the works.”

It is not yet clear which day(s) the NYCC reunion will take place.
