‘Dollhouse’ 2×11-2×12 DVD Captures

Over 200 HQ DVD screencaptures from the last two episodes Amy that was featured in during the second season of Dollhouse have now been added to the gallery — thus replacing the MQ versions & making this section complete!

However, I’ve also added the ‘previously…’ scenes which featured Amy from the final episode, titled ‘Epitaph 2: The Return’, despite not being in the episode itself (the flashback scene was used in 2×01 ‘Vows’ instead) as well as some fantastic behind-the-scenes captures from the ‘Defining Moments’ featurette. Gallery links & previews are below, enjoy!

‘Dollhouse’ R2 DVD Comic Included

The second season of Dollhouse on Region 2 isn’t released until October 11, but since I pre-ordered my copy, I was lucky enough to receive my copy yesterday — and I can confirm that the release was pushed back to include the comic that is available with the Region 1 DVD.

Screencaptures are coming up!

‘Cabin’ News, ‘Dollhouse’ Easter Egg & WhedonFest Cancelled

A small news round up!

First up, it looks like that upcoming movie The Cabin in the Woods has been pushed back indefinitely — it won’t be released on the planned date of January 14, 2011 after all — according to ComingSoon.net.

Good news UK fans, it looks like the Region 2 DVD release of the second season of Dollhouse has an extra feature; an easter egg! There’s plenty of speculation regarding this, but no one knows what it features, except the runtime of 1 min 40 secs, as stated by the BBFC. However, I’ll try to find out when I get my copy next month!

And finally, the Whedon Fest convention that was due to take place next month — the first of its kind in Toronto, Canada — has sadly been cancelled due to low ticket sales. You can read more about this over at Starry Night Events.

‘Dollhouse’ DVD Update

Several new updates regarding the Dollhouse DVD release!

First off, the DVD extras have been revealed to include deleted scenes, lasting 9 minutes in total; ‘Looking Back’ & ‘Defining Moments’ featurettes lasting 15 & 12 minutes respectively; and outtakes lasting 5 minutes. Since the source is the British Board of Film Classification, we can assume that the extras are the same for both Region 1 & 2.

Secondly, according to the British Video Association the Region 2 release has been pushed back to October 11 (formly September 6) and therefore a day earlier than the Region 1 release — perhaps to include the comic?

And finally, US fans can pre-order the Region 1 DVD directly from FOX which includes the limited edition lithograph that was previously only available by pre-ordering at Comic Con. There’s a coupon code also available, “COMIC” which provides an additional 10% discount & free shipping at the final stage of ordering.

EDIT: The exclusive [that I assume] that was hinted at in the previous post has now been revealed — a Dollhouse comic titled “Epitaphs” which was written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen will be included with every DVD/Blu-Ray copy of the season 2 release of Dollhouse. View the cover at UGO.com.

‘Dollhouse’ S2 Region 1 DVD

We finally have a release date for the Region 1 DVD for the second season of Dollhouse: October 12, 2010. We also have a hint of what to expect when it comes to the specifications — thanks to Dollverse — as well as the news of being able to pre-order the DVD at this year’s Comic-Con. The artwork has also been confirmed to be a season 2 poster.

Here’s hoping further details shall be released soon!

It’s available in October 12 on DVD and Blu-Ray, and includes deleted scenes, commentaries etc. If you pre-order at San Diego Comic-Con 2010, you get a limited lithograph (similar to last year’s season one set).

Also… There’s something about it which is a) really freaking cool and b) I can’t tell you yet. Stay tuned. A lot of love has gone into this one.

Pre-order ‘Dollhouse’ on R2

Finally! Region 2 fans can now pre-order the second season of Dollhouse via HMV.com — again, there’s no specifications available just yet — except the release date of September 6, 2010 and the price of £14.99 (instead of £24.99) which is the same price as season 1 when it was first available to buy.

I’ve placed my order, so I shall keep you guys up-to-date on any further details & when I receive the DVD, I’ll be sure to replace the caps in the gallery with HQ DVD versions!

Pre-order ‘Dollhouse’ Season 2!

I’ve just received an email from Amazon.com stating that you can now pre-order season 2 of Dollhouse on DVD — there’s no release date, cover art or specs (i.e. DVD extras) available just yet, except for the price of $34.99 instead of $49.98 — but rest assured I shall keep you guys updated!

It’s definitely been too long since we heard anything about the DVD release, considering season 1 was released so quickly.

EDIT: The season 2 cover art has now been added.
