New Guest Appearances!

Apologies for completely missing this, but Amy guest-starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent (episode 7×03 “Smile”) last night – no episode stills or such have been released – so screencaptures of the episode would be greatly appreciated if you are able to provide them. Thanks in advance!

BUT, Amy will also be guest-starring on Ghost Whisperer next week (episode 3×05 “The Weight of What Was”) – a Halloween centric episode. It will air on Friday October 26, 7pm Central time on CBS. And the good news is, I managed to find and add 003 HQ stills to the gallery. Gallery link and previews are below, enjoy!

Power Announces MIPCOM Lineup

Power will offer up a lineup of new mini-series, contemporary action series and a range of TV movies at MIPCOM.

… Building on the success of its Power Thrillers, a stable of two-hour prime-time made-for-television movies featuring dynamic female leads, Power will also present Lethal Obsession and Voices, the latest titles in that growing portfolio. Lethal Obsession stars Kellie Martin (Live Once, Die Twice, ER) as a young mother who hides a blighted past. Voices stars Amy Acker (Angel, Alias) as a woman who is forced to play detective when she discovers an unlikely ability to communicate with the dead.

Supernatural S1 Official Companion

This is a little off topic but there’s an interview at MediaBlvd Magazine with the author of the official companion of Supernatural‘s first season. Fans of the series may appreciate this book as well as Amy fans as it includes a short interview:

“And as you’ll see when you read the book, I also managed to nab a few minutes with recurring cast members like Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Nicki Aycox, and guest stars like the super sweet Amy Acker.”

Additional UK Scans

Again, thanks to eBay, I’ve added HQ scans of 3 different publications (and years!) to the gallery; I believe I’ve gotten the publication dates correct, but if you believe otherwise, don’t hesitate to get in touch, thanks! More issues to come — I’m building up quite a collection. Gallery links and previews are below, happy reading!

SFX UK 2003 Scans

Thanks to eBay, I’ve been able to buy up some rare magazines featuring Amy which are otherwise unavailable; I do ask that you refrain from reposting these scans elsewhere (or remove the tag) as they are extremely rare and exclusive to — simply link to the gallery album, and not the scans themselves please, thank you.

Thus, I’ve added 007 HQ scans from the February 2003 issue of SFX UK (issue 101) to the gallery. Gallery link and previews are below, enjoy!

The Novice Stills

I’ve just stumbled across 002 MQ stills for The Novice — an independent that Amy filmed back in 2004, which received it’s world premiere at the Crossroads Film Festival earlier this year, and has yet to be released in theaters or on DVD. However, the fact that stills have surfaced are a good indication that something may be happening very soon or next year, even! Gallery link and previews are below, enjoy!

HIMYM Screencaps

I’ve added 091 HQ DVD screencaptures to the gallery of Amy’s guest appearance in the season finale of How I Met Your Mother; it was a short appearance but enjoyable nonetheless! Tidbit: According to the episode commentary, Amy and Neil Patrick Harris (Barney) are best friends in RL and so he was very nervous about “having to kiss his best friend.” I recommend you watch the episode then re-watch with the commentary. Gallery links and previews are below, enjoy!

Joss Whedon at Comic Con

Some snippets of Joss’s answers about our favourite actress and the cancelled series, Angel

“Since ‘Angel’ was cancelled prematurely –so far as Whedon and company were concerned– he’d always had ideas for the show’s life beyond season 5. ‘Angel: After the Fall’ is “somewhat derived from what might have been season 6,” Whedon said. It shows what happens after the battle of Wolfram and Hart, and since a comic doesn’t have the same budgetary restrictions as a TV series, Whedon assured fans, “What happened was really bad.”

“When asked what has been his favorite character to write for, Whedon admitted that can change on a day-to-day basis, but at present it’s Illyria. After seeing Amy Acker’s brilliant portrayal of Lady Capulet in a performance of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ Whedon became aware of the actress’ untapped potential. And, in keeping with tradition, Whedon decided the only way to help her was to kill her. He fondly recalls work-shopping the character with Amy and her fellow ‘Angel’ star Alexis Denisof, and made it a point to write most of the character’s dialogue himself.”

“HW: Do you hang out with the Buffy cast as well?

JW: I don’t see everybody from that. I run into some people, Aly [Hannigan] and Alexis [Denisof] I see all the time because they’re dear friends and neighbors, and Tony [Head] was just staying with them, so I saw Tony with Aly and Alexis. And Amy [Acker], from Angel is also a great friend. She and her husband James and their kids were running around our house at the Cape. Some of them, I just run into. Some of them, I’ve kept very close and some of them I haven’t seen at all.”
