Amy Acker Fan came about as a result of watching re-runs of Angel; it reminded me of how much I loved Amy — she is truly an amazing actress, and seems like such a genuine person, who is also extremely down-to-earth.

So, I searched around online and found some sites on Amy but they weren’t updated very often or hadn’t been updated since 2004. Thus, I felt there ought to be an up-to-date resource, despite new images and news being few and far between.

Since I was looking forward to catching up on Amy’s latest projects (such as Alias and Supernatural) I decided to build my own fan site so Amy Acker Fan was born as a temporary version on January 19, 2007.

The full version was then launched, complete with a new layout, on July 25, 2007. During this time the gallery was steadily updated with scans of back issues, and the aim is to purchase most, if not all, the issues available for the fans to read and enjoy.

By the time 2008 rolled around, I was able to expand the content further with the addition of the video vault, which aims to provide fans with clips of all of Amy’s scenes from guest spots on various TV shows, and select clips from regular appearances. Another new addition was the press archive which includes personal transcripts of magazine interviews.

In October of the same year, I made the decision to switch hosts and move servers, and so the site was moved to a brand new domain — — in the process.

Shortly afterwards in January 2010, I found myself without internet access due to a house move. Therefore two good friends of mine, Stef and Riikka, looked after the site while I was offline & unable to update, with Stef taking on the role of episode captures for Happy Town.

I’ve since returned online, but with the arrival of my daughter in June, I’m now restricted to updating when I can, time permitting. But luckily, Amy doesn’t tend to have lots of projects at once, and so I’ve been able to keep the site running fairly smoothly.

Lastly, I can finally say (after 7 years) that Amy Acker Fan is starting to feel ‘complete’, but saying that, I find I still have a fair amount of goodies to add to the site! And this site will always aim to be the ultimate resource on Amy, helping to keep fans up-to-date with the latest news & projects as well as providing original scans & screencaptures.
